Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure, and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

At E-Space, we’re focused on bridging Earth and space with the world’s most sustainable low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network. We’re a team of bold thinkers, ambitious leaders and dynamic doers—and we’re disrupting NewSpace by fundamentally changing the design of legacy LEO space systems to deliver entirely new satellite capabilities at a fraction of the cost.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed—to saving space, to protecting our planet and to turning connectivity into actionable intelligence.

Why this role is important:

  • Testbeds and GSE: Build, continuously improve, and operate lab facilities, HW testbeds, and ground support equipment (GSE) to test and validate sensors and actuators: jig design, assembly, rapid prototyping (CAD, 3D printing), SW development for testbed automation and logging (e.g., Raspberry Pi/Arduino/PixHawk), scripting for automating and data processing. Develop and operate tools for processing telemetry from satellite.
  • Flight HW testing and delivery: Develop and execute characterization, qualification, and acceptance test procedures for flight HW, using GNC and system testbeds. Thoroughly document test results, processing data needed for calibration and sensor and actuator performance models tuning.
  • HW management: Implement and maintain GNC HW tracking processes, including handling instructions, access controls, and test logging. Manage HW stock, procurement, and checkouts to ensure timely availability of HW components across sub-systems.
  • Spacecraft AIT support: Participate in spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities, including flatsat testing and environmental testing, providing continuity between sub-system and system validation, up to on-orbit commissioning. Travel to AIT test facilities as required.
  • Reviews and presentations: Participate, present, and prepare documentation for engineering reviews.

What you'll be doing:

  • BS + 5 years/MS + 3 years in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Independent, organized, and exceptionally proactive problem solver, able to thrive in hands-on fast-pasted start-up environment.
  • Proven direct experience testing and delivering flight-critical hardware, and with associated processes and H/W handling practices (clean room, ESD, access controls, etc.).
  • Hands on experience with rapid prototype through CAD modeling and 3D printing.
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux, Bash, Matlab, Python, and comfortable with collaborative code configuration.
  • Experience building hardware testbeds with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pixhawk, or micro-controllers.
  • Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN communications protocols.
  • Familiarity with low-Earth orbit satellite GNC sensors and actuators, and associated testing and calibration methods.
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.

Extra bonus points for the following:

  • Experience with a spacecraft AIT/launch campaign, and with spacecraft operations.
  • Experience designing, tuning, and simulating/testing Kalman filters and feedback controllers.
  • Knowledge of space environment and its effects on satellite hardware.
  • Experience with RF testing equipment (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.)
  • Experience with PCB schematics/layout and building harnesses, especially for aerospace or robotics applications.
  • Experience in engineering startup environment.

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and inorbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
