Sigma Software is looking for a Middle Test Engineer who would like to team up with a Seattle-based company.

If you are interested in joining a team of professionals, we would like to hear from you!

CUSTOMER
Our Customer helps IT providers be more successful in the cloud. The Customer plays an important role in the Microsoft ecosystem.

PROJECT
The product we work on is a suite of tools for migrating businesses from Gmail/Microsoft Exchange, and other email servers into Microsoft 365.  The Customer provides IT partners with an automated migration tool to accelerate a cloud business. This tool offers comprehensive planning, accurate provisioning, no lost data, and a great end-user experience. Unlike other Office 365 migration tools that focus primarily on moving server-side data - one step in a comprehensive migration-consulting project - the Customer’s  technology automates 90% of the manual effort and helps partners manage all the essential steps across the entire migration process.

Job Description

  • Design and execute detailed manual test cases and test plans to validate new product features and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers, both within the team and on the client side, to understand requirements, clarify functionality, and ensure adequate test coverage
  • Perform comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web interfaces, APIs, and system workflows
  • Support testing efforts for integration scenarios, ensuring smooth functionality and compatibility with external systems and environments
  • Document test results, defects, and test case improvements, ensuring clear and actionable feedback to the development team in a timely manner
  • Contribute to a growing QA culture by helping to define quality standards, participating in release readiness reviews, and continuously improving test processes

Qualifications

  • 3 years of hands-on manual testing experience  in a SaaS or cloud-based environment, ideally with exposure to both product development and system integration
  • Strong skills in test case creation, execution, and defect reporting, with attention to detail and the ability to spot edge cases and inconsistencies
  • Experience working with REST APIs and basic tools like Postman or Swagger, with the ability to manually test Back-end services when needed
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes, sprint planning, and iterative testing in, a fast-paced environment
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English (spoken and written)

WOULD BE A PLUS

  • Experience in security-focused products or a basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
