ABOUT THE TEAM
The Anduril Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops state-of-the-art radar systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Radar team is seeking a Test Engineer to help us plan and execute testing across all radar development programs in close collaboration with the design teams. The Radar team is responsible for all aspects of radar system development, from the ideation stage through initial production. In this role, you will work closely with interdisciplinary technical teams to understand radar design objectives and end user needs and to use this knowledge to design, plan and execute test strategies to validate radar performance. In collaboration with the radar team and Anduril's broader test team, you will engage in a wide variety of testing including environmental and mission performance characterization, both in the lab and in the field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan and execute testing of radar systems for the Anduril Battlespace Awareness team
- Perform a broad range of test development, test design, and verification activities to ensure system performance meets requirements. Some of which may require data collection, analysis, and testing in a variety of environments
- Work closely with other cross functional teams as needed & participate in design reviews, safety reviews, product reviews, test readiness reviews, and other milestones as applicable
- Lead test design, test plan development, and readiness reviews including generating and executing hardware test plans
- Must have a strong background of various measurement sensors, data acquisition, data post processing, and report writing skills
- Travel to test sites as needed to support DVT & Qualification Efforts. This includes local and out of state travel which could be a week or two at a time to support critical test events
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in the area of environmental test in both climatic and dynamic environments
- Strong knowledge of requirements, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461
- Successful candidates must have relevant proven experience in environmental testing, including performing climatic and dynamic operational testing of systems or sub-systems. This includes test plan development, working knowledge of test infrastructure, and working with external test facilities.
- Good at working independently and with various teams and key stakeholders
- Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs for short periods of time
- Must be comfortable with hands on work and working in noisy environments including outdoors and inclement weather
- Minimum BS in an engineering discipline
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced graduate degrees (Masters or PhD)
- Experience using and testing radar or other RF sensors and related electronics
- Thermal or Dynamic analysis experience with military ground vehicles
- EMI/EMC testing and standards knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, etc
US Salary Range
$120,700—$181,050 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
