As part of Thales team you will be part of an international project in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers responsible of software development for the electrical testing and verification of spacecraft instruments, equipment and sub-systems. You will have the following responsibilities:
- Technical responsible of test means: coding and validation of test software scripts, libraries, drivers and processing tools that verify UUT electrically, functionally and performance-wise;
- Test bench integration and validation, working closely with Test Benches HW team;
- Test validation and follow up wit0068 UUT in a cleanroom or lab ;
- Collaborative work applying quality standards and internal processes;
- Follow and derive functional and technical specifications and standards;
- Preparation of the associated project documentation and reviews in English;
- Committing to schedule and quality requirements.
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, telecommunication engineering, aerospace engineering or other similar technical discipline;
- At least 10 years of experience in C++ software development, object oriented programming and integration, mainly for Windows, with focus on developing maintainable code;
- Experience in testing and in test equipment for measurement and control, including bus and communications protocols such as GPIB, VISA, USB, I2C, SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553B, RS422, HSSL;
- Experience in the following areas will be considered a plus: IVVQ, Communication systems (modems, digital transmission), Labview FPGA, python, multi-threading, analogue and discrete digital data acquisition and actuators control, thermistors, telemetries, telecommands;
- Capable of understanding software project needs, validating software, support technical reviews and present results to internal and external customers and collaborators;
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Thorough, organized, results oriented with proactive approach;
- Capable of working effectively both independently and in teams;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language (ideally Spanish and French) is an advantage.
