At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Test Automation Specialist to join our UniQue team in Brussels.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Design, prepare and monitor automated tests.
- Contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process.
- Evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to the project within the DevSecOps approach.
- Create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture
- Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs.
- Enable the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach.
- Create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
- Capable of performing tasks independently with minimal guidance or oversight.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with QA team members, providing guidance and support on best practices.
- In-depth understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) processes.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Have at least a Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum 13 years of experience in IT.
- At least 5 years of experience in: automated testing (Playwright, TypeScript, Selenium WebDriver), scripting in Python, Java, or JavaScript; designing functional and non-functional test cases; and implementing best practices in functional and regression test automation.
- 3+ years of experience with: Git, SQL for data validation, JIRA (Zephyr/Xray), automated API testing, Postman and SoapUI for integration testing and scripting.
- Hands-on experience in creating test automation solutions.
- Knowledgeable in test management, defect tracking, CI/CD tools, and test data management.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Have a ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent certification is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-based application testing is a plus.
- Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
