Position Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automated Test Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring the automated testing team, designing and implementing robust automated testing strategies, and ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products. This role requires a strong background in automated testing, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement in testing processes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of automated test engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional growth and success. 

  • Test Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing strategies, frameworks, and tools to ensure efficient and effective testing processes. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, design test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage. 

  • Test Automation: Design and build automated test scripts and frameworks to test complex software applications across various platforms. 

  • Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies, and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality software by implementing best practices in testing, conducting code reviews, and performing thorough test analysis. 

  • Reporting and Documentation:Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results. Provide regular reports on test progress, coverage, and quality metrics. 

  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex testing issues, working collaboratively with the development team to debug and fix defects. 

  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in automated testing and software development to bring innovative solutions to the team. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in automated testing, with preference given to those with experience in a leadership role. 

  • Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. 

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. 

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git. 

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. 

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in automated testing or software quality assurance are a plus.
