Analytics QA Automation

Role:

The Analytics team focuses on developing and maintaining a mature voice hybrid broking windows application and associated services; written in C#, C++ and JavaScript. The system is used globally within Rates, Options, Inflation and FX desks.

We are looking for multi-talented candidate to help accelerate our automation plans. The candidate will be expected to help with kickstarting a new React (JavaScript) project and building out an existing Appium framework (C#) and TestComplete (Python).

The candidate should ideally have experience working on financial or systems that deal heavily with transactions and workflows. Some manual testing will also be required as part of the learning process.

Job duties:

• Create a React automation framework for a new project using an existing codebase from another team which is based on Cucumber + WebDriverIO.
• Assist with the expansion of an existing Appium & TestComplete automation frameworks.
• Work with the existing QA team to provide guidance on automation updates to the codebase.
• Execute manual and automated testing of systems.
• Document test cases into the Zephyr test management system.
• Ensure all code is committed to Gitlab and adheres to the company standards.
• Participate in weekly Sprint calls with developers.
• Work with the developers and business teams and translate the requirements into test cases.
• Provide feedback to ensure the development is in line with testing capacity and standards.
• Ensure best practises and judgement are used to ensure integrity and stability of any code delivered to LIVE is fit for purpose.
• Liaise with the management on all aspects of testing.
• Confident to speak the brokers/desks about existing issues and on occasions provide functional demonstrations.
• Ensure Confluence knowledge base is kept up to date.

Risk Responsibilities

All staff have defined risk management responsibilities. The Group imposes additional responsibilities online-managers and senior managers. It is critical that all staff discharge their risk management responsibilities when undertaking their role. Specific responsibilities are incorporated into employee objectives, and your performance against these objectives will be assessed as part of the firm’s performance management process. You will also be required to confirm that you have discharged your risk management responsibilities through the annual risk management attestation process.

Technical Skills

• Experience coding Windows UI tests in Appium + SpecFlow (good Selenium knowledge is acceptable).
• Experience coding Web UI tests.
• Fluent in writing Javascript and C# tests.
• Creating out automation frameworks for services based on REST API (not necessary but a nice to have).
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Proficient in using source control e.g. GIT.
• Able to use JQL in JIRA to create JIRA filters.
