About the Role:
We are seeking a talented PHP Developer with strong expertise in PHP and the PHPUnit framework to join our team. You will play a critical role in migrating and improving our existing test automation suite while contributing to backend API test coverage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance our existing PHPUnit-based test automation suite.
- Conduct a backend API test coverage audit to identify and fill gaps in existing tests.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for backend API endpoints using PHP and custom testing tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA engineers, to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the test automation pipeline.
- Continuously improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of automated tests.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in PHP and experience with the PHPUnit framework.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with PHP
- Solid understanding of test automation principles and practices.
- Experience with API testing and tools for automating backend tests.
- Familiarity with Gherkin syntax and behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Selenium and/or Playwright (or similar automation tools).
- Understanding of Ruby for supporting existing test frameworks.
- Familiarity with custom test tooling for bespoke API testing.
Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
