THE ROLE
As a Temenos Configuration Specialist - Credit / Lending, you will play a key role in delivering a complex core banking and credit transformation for a leading Swiss financial institution. You will focus on the functional configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of Temenos lending and credit capabilities within Temenos Core / Transact. Working across credit operations, business analysis, architecture, and technology, you will translate business requirements into robust configuration solutions supporting the full lending lifecycle from product and facility setup through drawdown, servicing, repayment, exposure management, and maturity.
YOUR CAPCO DAY
- Configure lending products, credit agreements and facilities, limits and sub-limits, pricing and interest conditions, fees, repayment schedules, drawdown and disbursement rules, maturity handling, collateral linkages, covenants and conditions, and exception parameters within Temenos lending capabilities.
- Translate business, credit-policy, and operational requirements into functional designs, configuration workbooks, parameter specifications, and implementation-ready solutions aligned with the target architecture and Temenos standards.
- Perform fit-gap and impact analyses, promoting configuration-first solutions and identifying where controlled extensions, interfaces, workflow changes, or data changes are required.
- Support end-to-end lending processes across bilateral loans, credit lines and overdrafts, secured and collateralized lending, mortgages or property-backed lending, and corporate facilities, including drawdowns, repayments, repricing, amendments, renewals, and maturity events.
- Apply strong knowledge of credit limits, exposure and utilization, collateral valuation and allocation, pricing, interest and accruals, repayment schedules, covenants and conditions, and loan-servicing controls.
- Collaborate with architects and integration teams on interfaces between Temenos and credit-origination and approval workflows, risk and rating systems, collateral and market-data services, payments, document management, general ledger, collections, and regulatory or management reporting platforms.
- Define and review functional test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and provide hands-on support during system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and end-to-end credit and loan lifecycle validation.
- Analyse defects and production-like issues, trace configuration, calculation, schedule, limit, collateral, and accounting root causes, coordinate remediation with functional and technical teams, and validate fixes through structured retesting.
- Support configuration promotion, release preparation, migration and cutover activities, go-live readiness, hypercare, and the creation of operational runbooks and support documentation.
- Facilitate workshops with credit product owners, lending operations, relationship management, credit risk, collateral management, business analysts, architects, developers, testers, finance, and control functions to clarify requirements and resolve design decisions.
- Coordinate closely with Temenos, implementation partners, and internal delivery teams, managing configuration dependencies and ensuring consistency across environments, credit processes, and related workstreams.
YOUR CAPCO FIT
- At least 7 years of experience in banking technology, lending, credit operations, or core banking transformation, including substantial hands-on responsibility for configuration and implementation activities.
- At least 4 years of practical experience with Temenos, ideally including Temenos Core / Transact lending, limits, collateral, or corporate lending capabilities, with participation in at least two implementation, upgrade, or major transformation programmes.
- Strong functional knowledge of the lending lifecycle, including product and facility setup, drawdown, servicing, pricing, repayment, limits, collateral, and exposure management, in retail, private-banking, commercial, or corporate environments.
- Proven ability to configure and troubleshoot Temenos lending products and parameters across facilities, limits, pricing, interest, schedules, fees, drawdowns, repayments, collateral linkages, covenants, and lifecycle events.
- Strong understanding of credit and exposure management, secured and unsecured lending, collateral concepts, interest and accrual calculations, repayment structures, loan amendments, and operational credit controls.
- Working knowledge of APIs, message and file interfaces, credit-origination and risk-system integration, accounting, payments, batch processing, and data migration or reconciliation; SQL or comparable data-analysis skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in complex banking programmes with multiple lending, risk, operations, technology, vendor, and implementation-partner stakeholders.
- Structured problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex credit and lending requirements into practical, testable, and maintainable Temenos configurations.
- Comfortable working in agile or hybrid delivery environments, taking ownership of deliverables from requirements and design through testing, release, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Professional fluency in English (C1 level or equivalent), including the ability to produce clear functional and technical documentation.
