About the Role
As a Telesales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for prospective users. Your mission is to engage inbound and outbound leads, educate
them on our investment products (global and local equities, mutual funds, ETFs), and
guide them to actively fund and trade on the platform. This is a fast-paced role that
blends active sales, customer education, and pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
● Outbound & Inbound Sales: Call warm leads, inactive sign-ups, and
prospective users to introduce Chaka’s investment products and drive platform
adoption.
● Account Activation & Onboarding: Walk new users through the registration,
KYC verification, and first-time deposit processes to ensure a seamless setup.
● Upselling & Cross-Selling: Engage existing retail clients to understand their
financial goals and pitch higher-value portfolios or new product offerings.
● Objection Handling & Education: Demystify global stock trading, local
market options, and security/regulatory compliance (SEC Nigeria) for beginners.
● Lead Tracking & CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate records of all call
activities, customer feedback, and follow-up schedules in our CRM.
● Target Achievement: Meet or exceed weekly and monthly key performance
indicators (KPIs), including call volume, account activation rates, and value of
funded accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration,
Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
● Experience: 0–2 years of experience in telesales, inside sales, customer success,
or relationship management (prior fintech, banking, or brokerage experience is a
major plus).
● Capital Markets Interest: A strong curiosity or basic understanding of how
the stock market, mutual funds, and dollar investments work (we will train you,
but passion is required).
● Communication Powerhouse: Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills with a highly persuasive and professional phone etiquette.
● Numerate & Coachable: Comfortable working with numbers, tracking your
own performance metrics, and learning new sales tools quickly.

Skills Required
