What You’ll Do
As a Telecommunications Engineer, you'll be responsible for
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining traditional telephone and VOIP solutions
- Troubleshooting and resolving telephony infrastructure issues efficiently
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless network integration
- Providing top-tier support to clients and internal teams
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal reliability
- Managing ticket queues and documenting solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Staying ahead of industry advancements to continuously improve our services
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have the following.
Technical Expertise
- Solid knowledge of Mitel MiVoice, Mitel 250, Mitel 5000, Mitel 3000, Mitel MiCollab, and PBX systems
- Strong understanding of VoIP, SIP protocols, LANs/WANs (routers, switches, etc.)
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and best practices in telecommunications security
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong customer service mindset with exceptional communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- A team player attitude with a positive and professional approach
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field from an accredited university and 2-5 years of experience
- Be Mitel Certified Associate (MCA) or Mitel Certified Professional (MCP) certified
- Engineers should possess CCNA or CTP certification and have an excellent, thorough fault process mentality to correctly gauge calls along with other relevant technical abilities and knowledge
- Proven track record in IP-based telephony installations and troubleshooting
Specific Requirements
To maintain employment with our company, by mandate, each employee MUST complete and have the following.
- Must be able to pass a MSHP/Federal fingerprint-based background check (no felonies)
- Must complete training for and successfully complete a CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems) Security & Privacy Training Certification
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
