We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dedicated team in Steel team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Requires strong experience with Structural Steel Detailing & Designing work
- Serve as a key contributor during the strategic planning phase of upcoming packages & projects, providing insights and support to ensure successful project execution
- Assist the Project Manager with the daily coordination and management of projects and staff to ensure quality standards, client expectations, and project schedules are consistently met
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates directly to the Project Manager
- Identify and resolve project-related issues while recommending process improvements to enhance overall project performance
- Organize, maintain, and manage all current project documentation and records in an accurate and efficient manner
- Enter, update, and maintain information within digital project databases and management systems
- Support the coordination and oversight of projects from initial planning through final completion
- Prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and design change summaries throughout the project lifecycle
- Should be able to manage the project independently in PM's absence
Qualifications:
- Under Grad: B. Tech/B.E. - Civil, Mechanical
- Diploma: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization, PG Diploma - Any Specialization, Civil, Mechanical
- 7+ Years of experience in the Steel Detailing industry willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field
- Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures
- Must have strong knowledge of AISC & CISC Standards
- Considerable proficiency and experience in working on US commercial Projects
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings
- Proven project management and coordination skills
- Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance
- Deadline-driven with attention to detail
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in AISC / CISC Projects
- Must have good communication skills. (Written & spoken)
- Must have good experience in Model Checking & Erection Checking

Skills Required
- Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures
- Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards
- 5+ years' experience as a Steel Detailer
- Proficiency working on Commercial US projects
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and ability to read drawings
- Proven project management and coordination skills
- Experience in model checking
- Ability to respond to and understand Asana and Slack instructions
- Provide technical guidance to drafting and junior engineering personnel
- Manage RFIs and reference information sets
- Ability to handle the project in the project manager's absence
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical (or relevant diploma/postgraduate)
