Summary The Automation Engineer (Level 10 and above) is a mid-senior level role focused on implementing and managing automation solutions across enterprise environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and secure development practices. The engineer should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in agile delivery models while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Roles & Responsibilities Engage with clients and communicate automation strategies effectively. Participate in agile delivery using sprint models and scrum boards on JIRA or similar tools. Implement and manage IaC tools such as Git, SVN, Ansible, and Terraform. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Rundeck. Utilize cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware private cloud. Integrate and manage IaC vaults including Hashicorp, Ansible Vaults, and Azure Vaults. Apply secure development practices using SAST and DAST tools. Perform REST API integrations and manage JSON data formats. Professional and Technical Skills Must Have 5+ years of experience in automation and infrastructure. Client handling capability with clear communication skills. Proficiency in agile delivery principles and tools like JIRA. Working experience with IaC tools: Git, SVN, Ansible, Terraform. Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Rundeck. Certified DevOps or Cloud professional (AWS/Azure/GCP/VMware). Experience with IaC vaults and security tools (Hashicorp, Ansible Vaults, Azure Vaults). Working knowledge of REST API integrations and JSON. Ability to utilize cloud-native solutions. Good to Have Knowledge of infrastructure architecture: networks, storage, compute, hosting. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Packer. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting. Understanding of immutable infrastructure and serverless technologies. Exposure to AI & ML use cases. Prompt engineering skills. Additional Information Level: L10 and above (Mid-Senior Level). Experience: Minimum 5 years in automation and infrastructure. Certifications: DevOps or Cloud certifications preferred. Soft Skills: Strong communication and client engagement abilities.
