About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Technology Product and Procurement Specialist specializing in Technology Products and Procurement to join our legal and procurement team. This role will provide essential support to our product and business teams, negotiating product and other vendor contracts and offering practical guidance throughout the product lifecycle – from initial concept to market launch – and skillfully navigating complex commercial and procurement agreements. You will be at the forefront of innovation, tackling cutting-edge issues in a dynamic work environment. Experience in identity products is strongly desired. Collaboration will be key, working with colleagues across various departments (business, engineering, compliance, security, and policy) on mission-critical product initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiation, and management of vendor contracts, focusing on technology vendors - strong experience in this area is a must. Ability to closely collaborate with product management and development teams to proactively mitigate risks during the entire contracting and product development process. Familiarity with the NIST and FedRAMP frameworks is a strong preference. 
  • High level of product awareness including the ability to describe what the Company’s critical vendors provide, where they sit in the tech stack, where they fit in our customer journey, and how they integrate with the Company and impact or interact with other product vendors. 
  • Strong sense of ownership, understanding where value can be derived for the Company, prioritization skills and proactive in resolving contracts/ negotiations to meet business needs.  Able to own all aspects of the lifecycle of complex vendor agreements (including partnerships, SaaS vendors, terms of service, etc.), from drafting and negotiation to final execution.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and product lifecycle management including drafting, maintenance and updates for playbooks and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across product and procurement functions.
  • Proactively identify and advise on risks and opportunities, engaging with all levels of the business to promote informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, with a particular emphasis on digital identity and online platforms, along with relevant procurement regulations. 
  • Ability to succinctly communicate contract risk concepts to business and product stakeholders. Oversee internal communications, projects, and training initiatives, leading high-impact projects and compliance across multiple stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments in areas such as online platforms, digital identity, privacy, generative AI, data protection, and procurement best practices to anticipate and address emerging challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technology procurement experience, encompassing product counseling, technology transactions, and regulatory compliance. Experience within a multinational company is highly desirable. Proven experience in procurement and technology transactions is a must. 
  • 1+ years' experience in data privacy, NIST, FedRAMP, intellectual property, insurance, platform liability, and generative AI 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines with demonstrated project management skills. Must be flexible and have the ability to operate in a dynamic environment within an organization shaped by robust regulatory requirements. 
  • Exceptional analytical, drafting, negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities, with a proven capacity to translate complex concepts into practical business advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate with and advise technology and procurement teams on complex technology vendor matters.
  • Experience advising on privacy, consumer protection, user campaigns, marketing, promotions, and other relevant regulatory requirements, including those specific to procurement is highly desirable.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams. Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, demonstrating a proactive and highly effective problem-solving mindset.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

The above represents the anticipated total rewards package for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on qualifications, professional experiences, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location, and other job related factors.
