Job Description
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Technology Business Consultant Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to develop and implement solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in one or more technologies. Possess knowledge in a specific business area. Work on one or more projects as a team member or as a project lead. Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Responsible for leveraging specialized knowledge of FIS technologies to work individually and within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements. Utilize advanced knowledge of proprietary tools to expertly research and document client needs, technology or regulations related to system design, enhancement and acquiring hardware or software that will impact multiple platforms and applications. Define product scope, objectives, and requirements, along with specifications and data models for product development and testing. Apply expertise with FIS technology to create detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, along with system impacts to other systems and procedures. Utilize specialized understanding of proprietary technologies to write test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and application integrity is maintained. Conduct a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests, using client data to be certain client needs will be met. Consult directly with clients and may travel to client site. Leverage specialized knowledge of FIS methodologies to act as team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects leading sub-plans or small projects. Mentor, guide, advise and check work of less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants. Apply unique expertise with FIS methodologies to play a key role in training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Finance, Mathematics or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing waterfall model or agile approaches to standard software development methodologies; working with application programming languages including Python, C#, C++, and Java; utilizing specialized understanding of technologies and mathematics/analytics to write test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and application integrity is maintained; conducting system and integrations testing, user acceptance testing to manage product releases and release any changes after careful consideration of client data; analyzing and summarizing client’s specific needs around the technology to solve financial problems and translate these into solutions in the application using python and other programming languages. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
