Summary: This role is for a warehouse operations expert with extensive simulation experience, leading transformative projects to optimize warehouse performance. Using Simulation tools like Technomatix, Flexsim, Simio etc. you will address challenges in layout optimization, material handling, and order fulfilment, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your strategic leadership and client engagement skills will position the organization as a leader in warehouse simulation solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: - Develop simulation strategies to optimize warehouse operations, focusing on layout design, automation integration, and order fulfilment efficiency. - Lead end-to-end simulation projects, creating and validating models for warehouse processes using Simulation tools. - Provide expert consulting on simulation applications, such as AGV routing, inventory optimization, or e-commerce fulfilment. - Identify new business opportunities, contributing to proposal development and client pitches. - Build and maintain relationships with warehouse clients, acting as a strategic advisor on simulation-driven transformation. - Mentor junior consultants and simulation engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. - Contribute to thought leadership through publications, conference presentations, and industry forums on warehouse simulation. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: - Over 15 years of experience in warehouse operations, with a strong focus on simulation for logistics/ supply chain processes. - Expertise in simulation tools like Technomatix, Flexsim or Simio applied to warehouse use cases. - Exposed to warehouse management systems (WMS), automation technologies, and best practices in logistics. - Proven track record of delivering simulation projects with significant business impact (e.g., improved throughput, reduced fulfilment times, cost savings). - Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage senior stakeholders and drive transformation. - Experienced in leading complex simulation initiatives. Good to Have Skills: - Experience with e-commerce fulfilment and omnichannel retail strategies to support modern warehouse operations. - Knowledge of robotics and automation technologies, such as AGVs, ASRS, or robotic picking systems. - Familiarity with IoT and real-time data integration for warehouse simulations. Tooling / Platform Exposure: - Simulation Tools: Technomatix PlantSim, Flexsim (e.g., Flexsim Warehouse), Simio, Anylogic (e.g., Material Handling Library). - Warehouse Systems: SAP EWM, Oracle WMS. - Automation Technologies: AGVs, AS/RS, robotic picking systems, IoT sensors. - Data Analysis Tools: Python (Pandas, NumPy), Tableau, Power BI. Leadership & Behavioural Competencies: - Strategic vision to align simulation solutions with warehouse industry trends and client goals. - Exceptional leadership to guide teams and mentor junior staff. - Strong client relationship management skills to build trust with senior stakeholders. - Adaptability to address evolving warehouse challenges, such as e-commerce growth and automation. Additional Info: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Certifications in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS CSCP, CSCMP SCPro) is preferred. - This position is based at Bangalore or Pune - Candidate should have a minimum 15+ years of experience.
