Summary: This role is for a domain expert in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with extensive simulation experience. You will lead client engagements, leveraging simulation tools like Technomatix, Flexsim, or Simio to optimize production, warehousing, and distribution processes. Your strategic insights will drive cost reduction, improve service levels, and enhance sustainability, while your leadership will position the organization as a trusted partner in CPG transformation. Roles & Responsibilities: - Develop simulation strategies to address CPG challenges, such as production scheduling, storage optimization, and distribution logistics. - Lead end-to-end simulation projects, creating and validating models for CPG supply chains using Technomatix, Flexsim, or Simio. - Provide expert consulting on simulation applications, such as demand-driven production or inventory optimization, to achieve business outcomes. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to proposal development and client pitches. - Build and maintain relationships with CPG clients, acting as a strategic advisor on simulation-driven transformation. - Mentor junior consultants and simulation engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. - Contribute to thought leadership through publications, conference presentations, and industry forums on CPG simulation. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: - Over 15 years of experience in the CPG industry, with a strong focus on simulation for production and supply chain processes. - Expertise in simulation tools like Technomatix, Flexsim, or Simio, applied to CPG use cases. - Deep knowledge of CPG operations, including manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and retail logistics. - Proven track record of delivering simulation projects with significant business impact (e.g., reduced logistics costs, improved service levels). - Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage senior stakeholders and drive transformation. Good to Have Skills: - Experience with retail analytics and demand forecasting to enhance simulation outcomes. - Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in CPG, such as carbon footprint reduction through simulation-based optimization. - Understanding of regulatory compliance in CPG (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 22000) and its impact on operations. - Familiarity with supply chain management tools (e.g., SAP SCM, Oracle SCM Cloud). Tooling / Platform Exposure: - Simulation Tools: Technomatix, Anylogic (e.g., Supply Chain Library), Flexsim, Simio. - Supply Chain Tools: SAP Supply Chain Management, Oracle SCM Cloud, JDA/Blue Yonder. - Retail Analytics Tools: Tableau, Power BI, SAS Demand Forecasting. Leadership & Behavioural Competencies: - Strategic vision to align simulation solutions with CPG industry trends and client goals. - Exceptional leadership to guide teams and mentor junior staff. - Strong client relationship management skills to build trust with senior stakeholders. - Adaptability to address evolving CPG challenges, such as omnichannel retail and sustainability. Additional Info: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Certifications in simulation tools or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is preferred. - This Position is based at Bengaluru or Pune - Candidate should have a minimum 15+ years of experience
