HCVT's Technology & Transformation practice is seeking an MBA intern to support strategic technology and business transformation engagements for middle-market and private equity-backed clients.
This internship provides an opportunity for MBA students with meaningful professional experience to apply their skills in a consulting environment while gaining hands-on exposure to technology strategy, business process improvement, and digital transformation.
Working alongside experienced consultants, the intern will help assess business challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and develop recommendations that support client transformation initiatives. Engagements may include technology strategy, ERP implementation, data and analytics, AI and automation, process improvement, and change management.
We welcome MBA students with backgrounds in technology, transformation, management consulting, or related fields, as well as professionals seeking to transition into consulting who bring relevant transferable experience.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Support technology and business transformation engagements by analyzing client operations, business processes, and technology environments to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in client interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate potential solutions and support the development of recommendations.
- Assist in developing technology strategies, business cases, transformation roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Support ERP evaluations, system selection, and technology implementation activities, including requirements gathering, solution evaluation, and process design.
- Research and assess opportunities for AI, automation, data analytics, and process optimization.
- Prepare client presentations, reports, and other deliverables that communicate findings, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to support project execution, monitor progress, and address project challenges.
- Contribute to internal practice development initiatives, including research, methodologies, and proposal development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to strengthen consulting, analytical, and technical skills.
To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:
- Previous experience in technology, transformation, management consulting, or a related business function.
- Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, technology implementations, or business process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, data analytics, AI, or automation initiatives.
- Experience conducting business analysis, developing recommendations, or presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Relevant transferable experience and a demonstrated interest in transitioning into consulting.
