Technology Analyst
This Technology Analyst position will be located in our research center in Whitehall, Michigan involving significant interaction with automation, engineering, NDT and IT resources across Howmet Engine Products.
This position involves:
- Analysis, design, development and deployment of systems related to automation, data collection, part marking and non-destructive testing systems
- Development of software and interfaces to support automation and traceability systems
- Solving operational, quality and engineering problems using advanced and e merging technical solutions
- Identifying opportunities and deploying tools to drive continuous improvement through computer technology
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an engineering discipline; computer science, engineering, analytics or information systems
- Minimum of 6 years IT related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires a U.S. person status
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of object-oriented software packages and modern application development techniques
- Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems and industrial networking protocols
- Basic understanding of digital radiographic systems
- Desire for learning new technologies both at and outside of work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
- Strong documentation skills, both technical and end-user focused
- Well organized
