About the role

We are looking for a talented technical writer to create compelling product documentation for our industry-leading suite of tools. You’ll work closely with world-class engineers, designers, and product specialists to understand our products and generate well-organized, highly-technical tutorials and user manuals.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Establish processes, tooling, and standards for the creation of product documentation
  • Create and maintain tutorials and user manuals for technical audiences
  • Work with software engineers to deeply understand new and existing features
  • Meet with customers to determine documentation requirements and areas of improvement
  • Contribute to the creation of technical blog posts

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 3+ years of experience authoring technical documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience creating technical documentation from scratch
  • Experience developing training materials and documentation for software tools
  • Proven record of owning the documentation process from profiling audiences, to gathering information, to final publication and maintenance

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicles, software development, or other technical fields
  • Understanding of web-based documentation workflows and management cycles
  • Proficiency with Markdown and/or LaTeX
  • Ability to code at a basic level to convey simple features and maintain code snippets

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $100,000 - $200,000 USD annually.
