The Technical Writer will plan, write, and edit operating procedures to improve program and project management related processes. The Technical Writer supports the administration and continuous improvement of Canacre’s processes through document management and administration, assessment reviews and audits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development of quality control plans for departments
- Assist with the development and editing of Canacre documents (e.g., policies, processes, guidelines, etc.) to align with strategic objectives
- Assist with formatting of Canacre documents (e.g., policies, processes, guidelines, reference documents, manuals, templates, forms, templates, etc.)
- Develop detailed project/work plan templates, flow charts and track progress
- Proofread and edit, upon request, documentation created by various departments within the Company according to resource availability and time constraints
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree specializing in English, Business, project management, quality management, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience as a technical writer
- Previous experience in consulting or construction industries is considered an asset
- Programming or MadCap skills considered an asset
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of quality management systems and processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Teams
