PSI is uniquely qualified to perform all facets of architectural and engineering, facility, business, and administrative services. With over 25 years of growth and success, we are currently seeking a second proposal writer for our BD team.
***This position is onsite in our Rapid City, SD headquarters.***
The proposal writer edits/produces professionally written, customer-focused, persuasive, technical proposal content within a dynamic, deadline-driven business environment. This position requires someone who is an exceptional editor and communicator with the ability to edit proposal content by first understanding and outlining client requirements and then interviewing subject matter experts to draft original content.
Requirements:
- Assist in editing, and formatting proposals and related documents.
- Conduct research to gather relevant information and data to support proposal content.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and consistency of proposal content.
- Organize and maintain proposal documentation and files.
- Review and revise documents for clarity, grammar, and adherence to company standards.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information.
- Assist in the development of proposal templates and standardized content.
- Support the proposal team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and adherence to deadlines.
- Edits proposals including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
- Work with project team members to create capability profiles, proposal resumes, charts and graphs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent project management skills with a high attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as a team member
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with stress on articulating and writing
- Computer literacy – proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat with the ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties
- High ethical standards, positive attitude and sense of humor.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Bachelors or work experience equivalent in a proposal writing/editing position
- Understanding of government procurement terms is preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed.
- Strong technical skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF Pro.
- Highly motivated and capable of seeing projects through from beginning to end.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts and ability to quickly learn new information.
- This is not a remote position. This is a Monday-Friday position that operates during regular business hours in the Rapid City, SD home office. Day to day schedule flexibility is availalbe. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
