As a Technical Support Specialist within Nokia's Networks team, you will play a critical role in managing the lifecycle and performance of our network services, including firewalls, DNS, and secure connectivity for our global offices and partners. Working in a dynamic 24x7 environment, you will troubleshoot complex network issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure reliable operation of IT network security services.
Responsibilities- Provide expert technical support for incident, problem, and change management across IT network technologies.
- Analyze and resolve production network issues while coordinating with cross-functional technical teams.
- Administer service requests and execute network changes for escalated or priority incidents and Own incident resolution processes, ensuring timely updates and thorough root cause analysis documentation.
- Design, deploy, and manage advanced firewall and SASE solutions to enhance network security and Conduct regular security assessments to maintain compliance with industry standards and propose preventive actions.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance in network security practices and Collaborate with external service providers and OEMs for complex issue resolution and remote implementation support.
Must-Have:
Bachelors’ degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent with Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Network services, deep knowledge of and management in complex environment
Experience in network designs/configurations, managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures and Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and ability to diagnose network alerts, events or issues
Good understanding on network technologies TCP/IP, VRRP, DNS, ARP, STP, Trunking, & Port Channeling, VRF, IPsec and TLS and Proficient in Standard Routing Protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, Route Policy, QoS, VRRP, Multicast, LDP and MPLS.
Experience with security monitoring and analysis tools and Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Hands-on experience in handling FortiGate Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall and proxy or equivalent and Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CISM).
Hands-on experience in handling Zscaler SASE solution and support and Familiarity with network security principles and practices and Knowledge of scripting and automation tools for network management
Ability to acquire Nokia Router product knowledge, learn CLI and deployment would be highly desirable and Good knowledge on Enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless network, virtualization, load balancer
