The Role

ARC Business Solutions Inc. is a customer-oriented information technology solution provider with proven abilities to incorporate strategy, creativity and technical aspects into business solutions. Service delivery is focused in four main technology solution verticals: Systems Delivery, Enterprise Information Management, Training and Managed Services; with industry expertise in Energy, Utilities, Government, Financial Services and the Public Sector.
ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking individuals with experience as a Technical Support Representative for immediate opportunities. This is for a 6-8 month contract and is onsite in Toronto.
ROLE:  Technical Support Representative
Qualifications:

Mandatory Prior Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an IT helpdesk or desktop support role.
  • College diploma in Information Systems or equivalent related work experience and or education.
  • Advance troubleshooting skills in Windows 11/10 desktop environments. 
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Microsoft 365 Copilot Office, email clients, SharePoint, Teams, VPNs, Active Directory and remote desktop tools.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and creation/management of users.
  • Basic identity and endpoint security understanding.
  • English, written and verbal.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for staff, resolving hardware, software and networking issues.
  • Responds to telephone calls, Teams calls, emails, and dispatched requests for technical support.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software and network.
  • Provide training to staff:
    • On-site training with staff & virtual training via Teams
    • Creating training videos
  • Moving to new office:
    • Assist in packing/unpacking and disassembling/assembling IT computers and equipment
    • Must be able to physically lift heavy equipment (less than 25 pounds)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff; verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent organizational/administrative/technical skills with agility to re-prioritize as necessary
  • If necessary, able to work weekends based on business needs (scheduled in advance).


Degree designations (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Computing Science, Engineering), from recognized universities is a desirable criteria in our selection process.  We offer a competitive salary, profit sharing, share options and a comprehensive benefits package.
