We're looking for a Remote Technical Support Engineer to provide critical assistance to our clients and hosts. You’ll be the first line of defense for customers running AI workloads, diagnosing infrastructure issues, and driving product improvements. This is a full time, salaried, remote position that requires daily coverage to ensure our customers receive timely and effective support. The support that you provide will often be highly technical in nature and will require SysOps expertise.

Vast.ai users or hosts strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to customers and hosts via email, chat, and phone
- Provide general support to customers (billing questions, how to use the platform for specific use cases, etc)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our GPU rental platform
- Maintain and update support documentation
Must-Haves:
- Linux system administration experience – you're comfortable navigating the command line, managing services, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing performance
- Docker proficiency – you understand containerization, can debug container issues, and work with Docker Compose or similar tools
- Technical support experience – you've successfully helped customers solve complex technical problems and can balance technical accuracy with clear, empathetic communication
- Excellent written and verbal English skills – you can explain technical concepts clearly to users ranging from beginners to ML engineers
- Customer-first mindset – you're genuinely invested in user success and take pride in delivering exceptional support experiences
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with GPU drivers and CUDA – understanding NVIDIA driver installations, compatibility, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, etc.)
- Background in cloud-native or distributed computing environments
- Prior experience with the Vast.ai platform or similar GPU cloud services
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and diagnostics
