A Day in the Life:
As a Technical Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical oversight of supply chain operations across local production facilities. This role ensures the smooth flow of goods, services, and information within the organization, while leading technical and quality matters related to production processes, raw materials, and finished goods inventories.
The Impact You'll Make:
  • Manage quality issues and inventory of finished goods, packaging and raw materials locally stored as a point of contact for Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams, Asahi Soft Drink team, vendors and commercial team. 
  • Support QA, QC and Engineering teams on conducting Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits, preparing and developing validations and qualifications. 
  • Support communications related to qualities, including but not limited to conduct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training on Asahi Soft Drink production team and co-packers. 
  • Translate or verify the translation of the quality-related documents and manage the latest versions. 
  • Participate and assist in the remediation of all deviations, nonconforming material and complaints. 
  • Lead technical reviews necessary to ensure GMP/Regulatory compliance, including; raw material and finished good specifications, label approval, master manufacturing records, etc. 
  • Interface with New Product Development team to provide operations feedback impacting project timelines. 
  • Optimize supply chain network and maintain competitive pricing for services.
Who You Are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Sciences, Engineering or other related technical degree is preferred. Related training and experience can be substituted for education.
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in quality management, quality engineer, production management experience.
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in productions, quality control leadership position for a food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturer.
  • Computer Skills Desired: Advanced user Microsoft Office.
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Fluent in English and Japanese desired.

Skills Required
