AbelCine is a leading provider of products and services to the production, broadcast, and media industries. We partner with production companies, studios, networks, corporations, and creative professionals to develop solutions across production technology, systems integration, equipment rental, and production services. We're looking for a Technical Solutions Consultant to join our Burbank team and help clients identify and implement the right technical solutions for their production and content creation needs.

The Technical Solutions Consultant will lead client discovery, qualify opportunities based on scope, budget, timeline, and technical fit, and collaborate with engineering and internal teams to develop the right solution. This role owns the client relationship throughout the sales process, from the initial conversation through quoting, negotiation, and close. Approximately 70–80% of the role focuses on technical selling and solution development, with 20–30% focused on new business development and growing existing accounts. 
Success in this role means consistently meeting revenue targets and quarterly KPIs while developing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Selling & Solution Development
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand client workflows, production requirements, challenges, and goals.
  • Qualify opportunities based on scope, budget, timeline, and technical fit.
  • Help clients understand their options and recommend solutions that align with their technical and business needs.
  • Prepare clear and complete handoffs to engineering and remain involved as solutions are designed and refined.
  • Develop quotes and proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales.
  • Manage your pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Stay current on the products, technologies, and workflows AbelCine sells and supports.
  • Collaborate across Integration, Rental, Production Services, Engineering, and Operations to bring the right resources to each opportunity.
Business Development
  • Build relationships with prospective and existing clients through trade shows, industry events, client visits, and other networking opportunities.
  • Follow up on leads and develop them into qualified opportunities.
  • Open new accounts in existing and emerging markets.
  • Introduce clients to AbelCine's broader capabilities and identify opportunities to expand relationships across departments.
  • Maintain regular contact with new and established accounts to build a healthy, sustainable pipeline.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, account management, systems integration, or a client-facing technical role in media, broadcast, cinema, or live production.
  • Strong working knowledge of production technology and workflows, including some combination of film/TV production, broadcast systems, virtual production, production robotics, IP video (NDI/ST 2110), and podcast production.
  • Experience with consultative, solutions-based selling and technical discovery.
  • Demonstrated success meeting revenue goals and developing client relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, proposal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to travel locally approximately 10–20%, with occasional overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with studios, networks, enterprise clients, or live production environments.
  • Established relationships within the Los Angeles media, entertainment, sports broadcast, or live production community.
  • Experience in systems integration, rental, or post-production.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering or systems design teams.
Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position and working at a computer for extended periods.
  • Moving throughout office, client, trade show, and production environments as needed.
  • Communicating effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual platforms.
  • Traveling locally to client locations, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying equipment or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Location: Burbank, CA
Status: Full-Time, On-site, Exempt
Compensation Range: $95,000–$105,000/year
