Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Services Specialist will support the Technical Service department by leading and managing customer relationships, new product development, trials, and first time production runs.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead first time runs and trials with pre-press and press crews.
  • PQ review scheduled and go over PQ with all relevant parties inside of the Company for trial plan
  • Develop troubleshooting techniques for any new or challenging graphic designs or material changes
  • Create PQ folder for each new trial and manage folder form inception to close
  • Schedule PQ reviews with all relevant parties inside of the Company for trial plan.
  • Create SOC for the new items, verify/create a Quality Window SOC template using QW Admin. 
  • Implements planned strategies for successful project roll out
  • Participates in meetings with customers on project status 
  • Assists with maintaining up-to-date Project Trackers including all active items.
  • Work cross functionally with the Quality team to drive root cause analysis and future mitigating actions for quality concerns. 
  • Partner with the Process and Production teams to resolve day-to-day production issues.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A four year degree, preferably in engineering. Equivalent experience may be suitable.  A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be required for someone with no engineering degree.

  • Computer operations are essential to this position.
  • Internal contacts include managers, co-workers, and plant personnel (operators, technicians, maintenance crew members, and plant management staff). 
  • External contacts include vendors, contractors, and customers.

  • While planning projects, the employee is often in an office environment.  While implementing projects and/or performing troubleshooting, the employee is typically on the floor of the manufacturing plant.  While on the plant floor, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical machinery and open “live” electrical panels.  The noise level while performing work within an office is low while the noise level of work performed on the plant floor is moderate to high.

Skills Required

  • Four-year degree, preferably in engineering
