Renishaw is a global technology company with core skills in precision measurement, position and motion control, industrial automation, and calibration systems. We are currently seeking Technical Sales Representatives for Renishaw’s Industrial Metrology Product Divisions in multiple US regions. As a key member of the team, this role will serve as technical sales and applications representative for Industrial Metrology products within a designated territory. This individual will be responsible for developing sales opportunities and nurturing leads, through direct end users, distributors, and OEMs to meet strategic objectives for Renishaw growth and profitability. Preferred candidates to be based in St. Louis or Kansas City area with required travel approximately 75%

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and OEMs to meet strategic objectives for Renishaw growth and profitability.

  • Sell advanced metrology product solutions to clients in CMM, Gauging, Machine Tool, Styli, Fixturing, and Calibration technologies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement sales strategies and product promotions.

  • Provide technical guidance to customers and prospects.

  • Overnight travel within your assigned region to meet with clients and prospects, ensuring consistent follow-up and support within the region to establish a market presence for the product lines.

  • Manage your schedule independently to meet sales goals and customer needs using CRM and Microsoft Office products for creating reports, proposals, presentations, and general communications.

  • Effectively communicate customer requirements and new product needs to the product development group.

  • Other Duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education and Experience: Minimum

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology equivalent, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of Sales experience in machining/metal cutting products or similar industry via work experience or internship.

  • Strong professional communication and presentation skills with proven ability as an effective closer.

  • Innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a results-based environment.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as experience in using CRM software.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable automobile transportation and current auto insurance.

  • This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data.  The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR controlled data.  The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Education and Experience: Preferred

  • Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment is preferred.

  • Technical training in metrology, CNC machining or programming.

  • CAD/CAM experience with ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Compensation Range (Annual)

$70,000-$90,000 Base Wage with Commission (depending on experience level and location)

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, as well as geographic location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
