In this role, you will be the expert inside the organization of mandatory requirements for product, its processing, or its production method (may include packaging, marking, and labeling requirements).

As a Technical Regulations & Standards Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Application engineers during offer phase (ITO) to review of Customer spec or its TR&S requirements providing alerts on risks and mitigations.

  • Providing guidance to Engineering on projects and programs on activities relevant to regulatory compliance assessments with potential impacts on the design, manufacturing and testing.

  • Creating and maintaining technical regulatory info in internal database by leveraging documentation available on company repositories/databases as well as other sources.

  • Identifying affected products & systems understanding together with Product Platform Leaders and System Engineering Team the regulations’ impacts and their implementation.

  • Collaborating with Configuration, Product development and Procurement teams to define the strategy for the compliance of products and commodities, to evaluate status vs countries certification and increasing product salability.

  • Leading TR&S solutions impacting configurations and how we sell them with a continuous improvement mindset (adopt Loop back process).

  • Leading (and proposing) activities to improve and strengthen TR&S process.

  • Establishing a network with TR&S representatives within Baker Hughes and interface externally with Regulatory Authorities.

  • Assisting project team to interface with local authorities/consultant /third party.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Have proven experience as Design Engineer or Project Engineer

  • Be able to read and understand P&ID and PFD

  • Be familiar with Oil and Gas products like Gas/Steam turbines, centrifugal/Reciprocating compressors, Turboexpanders

  • Be familiar with Product Regulatory and Safety concepts and capable of understanding and applying them to our products. Be able to understand basic legal technical concepts and implications.

  • Be highly motivated and results driven, able to deliver under pressure in a dynamic environment, assuring high quality standards.

  • Show excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills, both in Italian and English

  • Display excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to interact at all levels within and outside the company.

  • Demonstrate advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).

  • Be able to work in team, being inclusive and collaborative
