The Role

Junction provides infrastructure for healthcare organizations, making patient data accessible, actionable, and automated across lab testing and device integrations. Our mission is to reduce the cost of managing chronic disease by two orders of magnitude.

Who you are: your experience is in sourcing for engineering and product roles for early stage startups - from Series A onwards. You've only ever wanted to build mission driven startups.

Ownership: You’ll join a hiring team of 1 and will own all technical and product roles at Junction - scoping roles with hiring managers, sourcing candidates and running end to end hiring processes

Time zone: Fully remote within GMT timezone

Why do we need this role

Our people and talent function is a team of one right now with a team of 25 globally - in the last 6 months the team has over doubled in size. As our hiring plan continues to scale, we’re looking for a founding member to support our growth to help us scale our product to millions of more patients. You’ll play a key role, continuously taking on more ownership in the team. If you want more impact then read on.

What you’ll be doing from day 1

👉 End-to-end hiring for all technical roles

You’ll own the full lifecycle for all engineering and product hires - from defining role requirements with hiring managers, to sourcing, interviewing, and closing exceptional candidates. You’ll manage everything from IC roles to technical leadership hires. From Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering to ML Engineers, Product Engineers and Design Engineers.

👉 Sourcing top-tier talent who care about our mission

You’ll develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify diverse and high-quality candidates across a wide range of technical domains. Our employer brand identity is forming and need your help to continue this. We need you building networks with passive candidates as we continue to scale.

👉 Designing and running world-class hiring processes

You’ll define structured and candidate-friendly hiring processes. You’ll train interviewers, build rubrics, run debriefs, and make sure we’re delivering a high-signal, high-care experience every time.

👉 Owning our technical employer brand

You’ll work on making Junction an aspirational place for engineers to work. That might include helping team members write blog posts, hosting events, or highlighting our unique culture and tech stack.

Who you are
  • You have experience owning technical hiring at early-stage startups (ideally Series A or B), and are comfortable building processes from scratch

  • You know what the top percentile talent looks like - you won’t compromise on bar or candidate experience

  • You love partnering closely with technical teams and understand how to translate business goals into hiring roadmaps

  • You are systematic and determined with your sourcing - you do not give up or lower your bar

  • You’re organised, analytical, and can track hiring metrics to measure what’s working and what’s not

  • You’re energised by helping define culture and systems that scale, and you love working in zero-to-one environments

How we’ll get to know you
  • Initial call with Beth – 30 minutes

  • Behavioural interview - Maitham + Beth - 60 mins

  • Junction experience afternoon - meeting a bunch of the team and completing a sourcing task [paid]

How you’ll be compensated
  • Salary based on our salary calculator:

    • London: £67K - £74K

    • Lisbon: €72K - €80K

  • We are open to different levels for this role so please get in touch if you are more experienced and we can benchmark your salary and role title accordingly.

  • Your salary is dependant on your location and experience level, generated by our salary calculator. Our compensation is based on San Francisco as a location paying 50th percentile. More information is in our handbook here.

  • Generous early stage options (extended exercise post 2 years employment) - you will receive 3 offers based on how much equity you'd like

  • Regular in person offsites, last were in Morocco and Tenerife

  • Bi-weekly team happy hours & events remotely

  • Monthly learning budget of $300 for personal development/productivity

  • Flexible, remote-first working - including $1K for home office equipment

  • 25 days off a year + national holidays

  • Healthcare cover depending on location

  • New laptop
