Who you are: your experience is in sourcing for engineering and product roles for early stage startups - from Series A onwards. You've only ever wanted to build mission driven startups.
Ownership: You’ll join a hiring team of 1 and will own all technical and product roles at Junction - scoping roles with hiring managers, sourcing candidates and running end to end hiring processes

What you’ll be doing from day 1👉 End-to-end hiring for all technical roles
You’ll own the full lifecycle for all engineering and product hires - from defining role requirements with hiring managers, to sourcing, interviewing, and closing exceptional candidates. You’ll manage everything from IC roles to technical leadership hires. From Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering to ML Engineers, Product Engineers and Design Engineers.
👉 Sourcing top-tier talent who care about our mission
You’ll develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify diverse and high-quality candidates across a wide range of technical domains. Our employer brand identity is forming and need your help to continue this. We need you building networks with passive candidates as we continue to scale.
👉 Designing and running world-class hiring processes
You’ll define structured and candidate-friendly hiring processes. You’ll train interviewers, build rubrics, run debriefs, and make sure we’re delivering a high-signal, high-care experience every time.
👉 Owning our technical employer brand
You’ll work on making Junction an aspirational place for engineers to work. That might include helping team members write blog posts, hosting events, or highlighting our unique culture and tech stack.
Who you areYou have experience owning technical hiring at early-stage startups (ideally Series A or B), and are comfortable building processes from scratch
You know what the top percentile talent looks like - you won’t compromise on bar or candidate experience
You love partnering closely with technical teams and understand how to translate business goals into hiring roadmaps
You are systematic and determined with your sourcing - you do not give up or lower your bar
You’re organised, analytical, and can track hiring metrics to measure what’s working and what’s not
You’re energised by helping define culture and systems that scale, and you love working in zero-to-one environments

Salary based on our salary calculator:
London: £67K - £74K
Lisbon: €72K - €80K
We are open to different levels for this role so please get in touch if you are more experienced and we can benchmark your salary and role title accordingly.
Your salary is dependant on your location and experience level, generated by our salary calculator. Our compensation is based on San Francisco as a location paying 50th percentile. More information is in our handbook here.
