About the role
Tetra is a technology firm accelerating established enterprises. We embed directly with our partners to build custom tooling and automated processes that drive down cost and accelerate revenue.
The quality of that work depends on the people doing it. We're hiring a Technical Recruiter to own how we find, attract, and close top engineers and forward-deployed operators.
You'll be a strategic partner to the founding team on how we scale a high-bar org without lowering the bar.
What you'll do
Own the full recruiting cycle (sourcing, outreach, screening, interviews, and closing) for technical and forward-deployed roles, including Forward Deployed Engineers, Full Stack Engineers, and Systems Researchers
Build and maintain high-quality, diverse pipelines across engineering and client-facing functions
Drive an exceptional candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance
Source through the channels where this talent actually lives: GitHub, open-source communities, referral networks, alumni of top forward-deployed and solutions-engineering teams, and adjacent high-bar companies
Work directly with the founding team and hiring managers to develop a deep understanding of each role and what "great" looks like for it
Advise the team on interview best practices and help make informed, structured, data-driven hiring decisions
Maintain clean, structured pipelines
Proactively improve our hiring process, outreach copy, interview structure, and employer branding as we grow
What we're looking for
4+ years recruiting for technical roles, ideally in high-growth startup, deep-tech, or forward-deployed/solutions-engineering environments
A demonstrated ability to hire senior engineers and other highly specialized or hybrid profiles
Enough technical fluency to hold a credible conversation with engineers and articulate what Tetra builds and why it matters
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey a compelling value proposition to candidates who have plenty of options
The ability to operate autonomously, prioritize sharply, and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders
Sound judgment on talent
Bonus
An established network of engineering and forward-deployed talent you can tap from day one
Experience hiring for client-facing technical roles (forward-deployed engineers, solutions engineers, etc.)
Experience recruiting in early-stage or founding-team settings, where you're building the process as you run it
A track record of hiring people who work in-person or embed with clients, not just fully remote individual contributors
Familiarity with how modern AI and automation are reshaping enterprise work, and the profiles that succeed in that world
Benefits and perks
Competitive salary and meaningful equity in an early-stage company
100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your dependents
Home-office setup stipend and monthly reimbursements for internet and phone
Generous paid time off and paid parental leave
The chance to shape the team, the culture, and the hiring bar of a company at its earliest and most formative stage
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. Employment is subject to a standard confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.
