We are looking for a Technical Project Manager – Process Automation & Control Systems to join our Process Automation team in Monza. This position is responsible for managing and executing Control and Automation projects in Italy & EastMed region.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will ensure the successful delivery of our high-level solutions, fully aligned with company standards and the strategic objectives of Project Operations. You will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction, ensuring strong financial performance, and maintaining excellence in both the technical and financial execution of projects.
The work schedule is hybrid, 3 days a week in the office.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Lead projects in Italy & EastMed region from the opportunity development phase through to final delivery to the customer, with responsibility for the overall project scope, including resources, execution, and delivery, with a focus on meeting technical and contractual objectives.
- Ensure project delivery in line with its technical and contractual scope, optimizing costs and timelines. This includes managing execution plans, activity planning, cost estimation, risks and opportunities (including related mitigation and realization plans), as well as communication protocols and reporting to the customer.
- Coordinate technical activities for smaller projects (< €2M).
- Ensure project financial performance, including monthly reviews, monitoring actual costs versus estimated costs, invoicing and collections, scope variations (change orders), and contract negotiations, with the goal of improving project financial and operational metrics.
- Establish and manage customer relationships, anticipating and resolving issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction, proactively involving the necessary departments.
- Collaborate with internal functions (Engineering, Sourcing, Proposal & Estimation, Manufacturing, and Lifecycle Solutions & Services) to resolve issues, ensure quality, validate estimates, optimize execution, ensure proper project closure, and maximize service opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of technical experience in automation and control and at least 5 years in project management.
- Proven experience with EPC project contract management.
- Experience in ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems) and/or TSI (Telecommunications and Security Integration) is considered a plus.
- Strong knowledge of project operations and financial processes, including cost control, risk management, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, communicate clearly, and value the contributions of others.
- Ability to manage risks and solve problems while maintaining performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Good proficiency in digital tools and MS Office
- Fluent in Italian and with a good level of English.
Annual gross salary from €52,600 and applicable NCBA is Contratto collettivo Nazionale Metalmeccanico Grande Industria. Final salary offer will depend on your experience and qualifications and are also based on objective and gender-neutral criteria. Incentive and benefits to be part of the offer.
