Your role
The role of the technical project manager is vital in the development process of the Munich Electrification battery management systems. In close collaboration with the Munich Electrification management team, you are handling all technical aspects of an exciting OEM customer project. You are the single point of contact to our customer for all technical aspects during the development phase. Your main contributions are the creation and maintenance of the system requirement document synchronized and linked to customer requirements, management of all customer meetings and workshops. As the technical project manager, you are also in charge of troubleshooting and validation support, as well as ensuring the safety of our products according to the Munich Electrification safety process.
You are fully aware of all BMS requirements and their vehicle level impact, you are capable of understanding customer needs and you can judge the impact of external requirements on our BMS platform. Since we are a small team, you are working hands-on with the actual product. The technical project manager communicates the agreed upon and clearly defined requirements inside our organization to ensure appropriate and timely implementation and validation in our hardware, software and production teams.
Your future tasks at a glance
- Communication with your interface partners at the OEM
- Coordination of system level requirements with the customer and inside ME
- Product and feature definition with our customers from acquisition to SOP
- Milestone planning and timeline and deliverables tracking
- Role of the Product Owner in the agile development process
- Person responsible for the BMS sign-off / release for production
What you bring with you
- Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field
- Proven expert knowledge and +3 years of experience in automotive battery management systems or ECU/electronics development
- Customer focus and confident attitude (internal and external)
- Experience with software development (embedded C or C++, SCRUM process)
- Basic circuit design skills and understanding of electric powertrains
- Highly motivated, willingness to take responsibility and ownership of a project
- Preference for working in teams, pursuit of clever solutions and excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
