The Role

About the Company:

World is a network of real humans, built on privacy-preserving proof-of-human technology, and powered by a globally inclusive financial network that enables the free flow of digital assets for all. It is built to connect, empower, and be owned by everyone.

This opportunity will be with Tools for Humanity.

About the Sign Up Success Team:

We are a 15‑person, “go‑anywhere, fix‑anything” 10x engineers guild dedicated to squeezing every last percentage point of successful registrations—whether that means redesigning Orb camera modules, refactoring Kotlin pipelines, shipping a Swift prototype in 48 hours, or split‑testing kiosk UX on three continents. Our culture —extreme curiosity, end‑to‑end ownership, and shipping velocity— tempered by healthy code reviews and an obsession with user privacy and simplicity.

This role is onsite and sits in our Munich office

Job Opportunity:

We’re seeking a Technical Program Manager who thrives in the fast lane—someone energized by the challenge of delivering high-velocity hardware and software rollouts. You’re equally at ease coordinating firmware development, optical systems, regulatory compliance, and mobile app launches—all within the same sprint. If you’ve transformed prototypes from whiteboard concepts into production-ready products at startup speed, embrace ambiguity as a catalyst for innovation, and excel at transforming complexity into coordinated execution, this role was made for you.

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with Tools for Humanity, you will:

  • Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Drive the transition from prototype to mass production, working closely with engineering and operations teams.

  • Collaborate across disciplines—including hardware, software, and systems engineering—to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

  • Establish and maintain clear program tracking tools and dashboards to communicate progress, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Leverage strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to foster collaboration and drive meaningful impact across diverse teams.

About You:
  • 2–4 years of experience managing full lifecycle hardware/software programs—from initiation and planning to execution, tracking, and delivery.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven ability to lead programs independently across hardware, firmware, and software domains—while effectively aligning priorities in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong risk-management instincts—you proactively identify and mitigate technical, scheduling, supplier, or compliance risks before they escalate.

  • Excellent communication skills—confident interfacing with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience presenting data-backed options and technical strategies to enable clear decision-making.

  • Hands-on and execution-oriented—you’re not afraid to dive into the details to resolve integration or production challenges.

  • Naturally curious and driven to explore complex subject matter while maintaining strategic perspective.

  • Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a strong plus.

What we offer:

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Tools for Humanity ranges from €85,000 to €145,000 plus a competitive long-term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Tools for Humanity offers a wide range of best-in-class, comprehensive, and inclusive employee benefits for this role, including healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, life insurance, flexible time off, commuter benefits, and much more.

By submitting your application, you consent to the processing and internal sharing of your CV within the company, in compliance with the GDPR.

If you don't think you meet all of the criteria but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box, and we're looking for someone excited to join the team.
