Technical Program Manager I – Display Silicon
itD is seeking a Technical Program Manager I to drive program execution and cross-functional coordination for Display Silicon initiatives supporting next-generation AR and smart glasses within Meta Reality Labs. The ideal candidate will bring experience in technical program management, hardware development, semiconductor programs, and vendor management, with a proven track record of coordinating complex engineering programs from early development through high-volume manufacturing.
Location: On-site in Redmond, WA or Sunnyvale, CA (5 days/week).
Pay Rate: $35 - $37 per hour, depending on experience.
Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional program execution across display silicon, test engineering, packaging, sourcing, and hardware teams.
- Coordinate recurring program reviews, technical meetings, and milestone tracking to ensure alignment across internal engineering organizations.
- Manage relationships with external foundries, silicon vendors, and manufacturing partners, driving execution against committed deliverables and schedules.
- Translate high-level program milestones into detailed project plans with clear owners, timelines, and dependencies.
- Maintain comprehensive program trackers, schedules, status reports, and executive-level milestone updates.
- Identify technical, schedule, vendor, and delivery risks while driving mitigation plans and resolution across multiple stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between Meta engineering teams and external partners to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, and decision-making.
- Support hardware development through prototype validation, qualification, manufacturing readiness, and mass production.
- Present program status, key decisions, and risk assessments to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Internal Responsibilities
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Project Manager supporting hardware or semiconductor development programs.
- Experience coordinating execution across multiple engineering disciplines, including silicon, hardware, test, and packaging teams.
- Experience working with external vendors, contract manufacturers, foundries, or semiconductor suppliers.
- Understanding of hardware development lifecycles, including prototype, qualification, and production phases.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, dependency management, and risk management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting project status to technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to drive execution in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience supporting semiconductor programs involving foundries, OSATs, or silicon vendors.
- Familiarity with display silicon, uLED technologies, or electro-optical systems.
- Experience managing programs involving multiple external vendors across global teams.
- Experience working across international time zones with external manufacturing partners.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira or Smartsheet.
- Experience translating engineering risks and program status into executive leadership updates.
- Experience supporting consumer electronics products from prototype validation through mass production.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
