Role Summary:
A liaison among business partners in order to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products; processes and systems. May also be a liaison to external customers. Collects, analyses data to document requirements, and translates into detailed technology needs & formal specifications. Ensuring needs of partners and business are met. Reviews business and product needs, instructions, regulations, and laws for sophisticated projects; implements these changes into software using intermediate level programming skills, testing, and providing support to customers as the need arises.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Nurtures relationships with the business to understand and respond to existing and emerging customer requirements.
- Assists with communications to customers regarding new and improved technology solutions.
- Oversees relationship with customers to understand their long-term technology requirements and business plans and proposing technology solutions based on LSEG’s offerings.
- Oversees the training programme delivered to clients and provides ongoing expert technical advice to clients.
- Manages a team of Analysts, Senior Analysts and / or Team Leads by providing advice, coaching and development opportunities.
- Oversees interaction between Business Analysts, the development group and internal customers for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
- Manages project risks and issues, drives mitigation actions and ensure high priority items are escalated to/within project steering committee for decision making.
- Coordinates communications to internal customers regarding new and improved technology solutions, to ensure delivering against their long-term technology requirements and business plans
- Responsible for the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business needs in order to formulate business requirements at the Feature, Epic and User Story levels for each workstream they are responsible for
- Acts as a Product Owner / Tech Product Owner for each scrum they are a part of – this includes ensuring requirements meet Definition of Ready, maintain traceability and are accurately prioritised so that a balanced backlog is maintained
- Handles the day-to-day activities of business analysis assigned to scrum teams within their workstream(s)
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Extensive Analyst experience in a Technical role
- Some people management experience
- Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (Agile / Scrum and Waterfall)
- Project Management/Business Analysis
- Analytical & Understanding of strategic business issues
- Understand data & Information Architecture.
- Previous relevant experience with internal and external customers
