About NETINT Technologies Inc.
NETINT Technologies pioneers next-generation Video Processing Units (VPU) that enable scalable, high-performance, and energy-efficient video encoding in the cloud compute server market. With our focus on AI-integrated video processing and edge solutions, NETINT is revolutionizing how cloud and security partners manage, store, and analyze video data — especially within large-scale surveillance deployments.
About this Position
NETINT is seeking a driven Technical Product Manager with deep Security Surveillance industry experience to drive innovation in our VPU-based video encoding/AI-offload solutions for metropolitan-scale surveillance environments. You will help bridge market needs and technical possibilities, shaping the future of automated security monitoring as the volume and complexity of city-wide surveillance video grows.
You thrive at the intersection of hardware (ASIC/SoC) and software, ideally with experience bringing silicon-based security or surveillance solutions to market.
Responsibilities
· Market Understanding:
- Gather and analyze requirements from city surveillance, law enforcement, transportation, and critical infrastructure security sectors.
- Act as company expert in video surveillance trends, regulations (e.g., privacy, data retention), and AI analytics in public safety contexts.
· Product Ownership & Roadmapping:
- Define and prioritize features for NETINT’s VPU surveillance solutions—especially around AI-integrated video encoding, smart metadata extraction, and storage optimization.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps that address key pain-points in large-scale security deployments (e.g., video storage reduction, real-time AI inferencing).
· Hardware+Software Solution Definition
- Translate customer and market needs into complete solutions—owning functional specs for VPU firmware, SDKs, APIs, and AI inference pipeline integration.
- Collaborate with chip design, embedded software, and cloud partners to ensure smooth productization from silicon to customer solution.
· Sales & Customer Collaboration:
- Support pre-sales with product expertise, customer demos, pilot deployments, and responses to technical RFPs in the surveillance domain.
- Gather field feedback from system integrators, AI analytics vendors, and cloud service providers targeting surveillance workloads.
· Competitive & Technical Analysis:
- Monitor competitive landscape (e.g., GPU/FPGA-based video encoding, cloud video AI analytics, NVR market trends) and recommend differentiation strategies.
· Cross-functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-team efforts with engineering, field sales, and partners; report regularly on priorities and progress.
· Documentation & Evangelism:
- Author both detailed technical documentation and externally-facing solution briefs, with an eye toward product evangelism at trade shows and industry forums.
Qualifications
· Surveillance Market Expertise:
- 3+ years in the physical security/surveillance vertical, with an understanding of city/metropolitan-scale video deployments, security regulations, and related AI-driven analytics.
· Product Management for SoC/Silicon-based Solutions:
- Demonstrable experience managing product lifecycles for hardware accelerated applications (VPU, GPU, FPGA, or related ASICs); experience in launching complete solutions of both hardware and software.
· Technical Depth:
- Understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1), streaming protocols, storage optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with video AI/ML inference techniques, smart search/alerting, and edge-to-cloud data management.
- Ability to coordinate embedded/FW teams and software engineering for SDK and API delivery.
· Customer-Centric:
- Experience working directly with security integrators, video management system (VMS) providers, city agencies, or similar.
· Communication & Documentation:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical product capabilities into solution benefits.
Desirable Skills
- Technical degree (EE, CS, similar); graduate degree a plus.
- Pre-sales engineering or field application experience in the surveillance industry.
- Past participation in standards bodies (ONVIF, PSIA), AI safety/privacy forums.
- Experience with video analytics platforms or data privacy frameworks.
We thank you for your interest, however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

What We Do
NETINT Technologies develops silicon solutions for ultra-high-density video encoding and processing in the data center. We are the creator of a new hardware encoder category, VPU (video processing unit), combining hardware efficiency with software flexibility and quality.
With NETINT VPUs, a 1RU server can encode or transcode 160 1080p60 AV1, H.264, or HEVC broadcast-quality live streams at a 90% lower TCO than software running on the CPU.
Use cases where VPUs are deployed include mobile cloud gaming, live game streaming, video conferencing, remote desktop, high-density social video streaming, live OTT streaming, and AR/VR services.
NETINT is a VC-backed company of silicon innovators passionate about building solutions that leave an indelible mark on the world. Our offices and R&D facilities are in Vancouver, Toronto, and Shanghai. With our compact ASIC-powered video transcoders and VPUs, video services, and streaming platforms can reduce TCO and upgrade density and performance by an order of magnitude without replacing servers.
