Technical Product Manager – Product Information ManagementRole Overview

Product Information Management – The Technical Product Manager for PIM is responsible for ensuring that product data is created accurately at the source and made available consistently across downstream digital channels, including B2B and B2C experiences. This role plays a critical part in enabling New Product Introductions (NPIs), supporting digital commerce, and delivering a cohesive product experience for dealers and riders.

This role enables faster and more predictable product launches, improves overall product‑data quality, reduces manual rework across teams, and strengthens alignment between product development, digital, and commercial functions.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You will act as the product owner for the Product Information Management (PIM) domain, defining how product data is structured, enriched, validated, and prepared for downstream consumption. By establishing clear standards and partnering closely with PLM, ERP, and digital teams, you will help ensure that product data is trusted, scalable, and ready to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Product Information Management (PIM) product area, including data models, enrichment workflows, and publishing readiness criteria.
• Manage product requirements, backlog, and acceptance criteria for PIM capabilities in alignment with NPIs and digital commerce needs.
• Ensure accurate and complete product attributes, specifications, descriptions, imagery, and metadata within the PIM system.
• Define and maintain product taxonomy, classification structures, and attribute schemas to support search, filtering, and channel consistency.
• Establish and monitor data‑quality metrics such as completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and error rates.
• Partner with digital commerce, merchandising, marketing, and UX teams to ensure product data supports customer experience and conversion goals.
• Collaborate with PLM, ERP, and integration teams to ensure clean and reliable upstream‑to‑downstream data flows.
• Support product launches, seasonal updates, and assortment changes by ensuring timely and publish‑ready product data.

AI, Data, and Automation Expectations

Leverage AI‑assisted tools, including Copilot and PIM‑embedded capabilities, to improve documentation quality, accelerate data enrichment, and identify data‑quality issues. Use analytics and dashboards to surface trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. This role applies AI to improve efficiency and insight but does not own AI strategy, platforms, or architecture decisions.

Role Boundaries and Decision Rights

Owns PIM product requirements, data standards, and enrichment rules. Influences downstream channel readiness and integration requirements. Supports delivery execution through PLM Operations.

Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in technical product management, product data, or enterprise platform roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Product Information Management (PIM) platforms, with Contentserv expertise required.
• Solid understanding of product data models, taxonomy, classification, and data governance.
• Experience working with PLM, ERP, and digital commerce ecosystems.
• Ability to analyze data quality and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Education and Background

Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related). Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Preferred Certifications

Agile / Scrum Product Owner, SAFe, or product and data management certifications are a plus.

Success Measures

• Consistently high product‑data completeness and accuracy across downstream channels.
• Reduced manual rework related to product data and launches.
• Predictable, on‑time support for NPIs and product releases.
• Strong stakeholder satisfaction across product, digital, and commercial teams.
