Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide technical writing support and standardization of documentation across the organization.
Responsibilities
· Create user-friendly Policies, Standards, and Procedures that effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, including stakeholders and regulatory bodies
· Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy of content
· Comfortable initiating electronic or phone conversations with multiple level of business staff
· Create content for Mr. Cooper’s internal social media site for The Policy Office
· Complete various projects related to The Policy Office
Skills
· Ability to work with diverse audiences and translate technical information into non-technical information
· Excellent writing and composition skills including grammar; punctuation and spelling
· Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly
· Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, detail, and follow-through
· Ability to be punctual and meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently, as part of a team of peers, and to support and contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, English or other relevant major with focus on writing; or equivalent practical experience
· Familiar with Microsoft Office
· Familiar with Chicago Manual of Style, preferred
· Familiar with Microsoft SharePoint, optional
· Familiar with HTML, optional
