Technical Operations Support Specialist Senior

HOW A TECHNICAL OPS SUPPORT SPECIALIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

This effort provides Analytical Support Services to the U.S. Army Counterintelligence (CI), Counterterrorism (CT), and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) enterprise, supporting the United States Army Counterintelligence Command (USACIC), its subordinate commands, and associated activities. The Technical Operations Support Specialist Senior provides advanced multi-level technical support across computer systems, networking solutions, and specialized non‑standard technologies. The role supports counterintelligence (CI) and counterterrorism (CT) missions, contributes to analytic production, and enables technical operations across sister organizations. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, data science proficiency, and operational tradecraft understanding to support sensitive national security efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and secure networks, operational systems, and technical capabilities
  • Support CI/CT operations by identifying threats, analyzing foreign intelligence TTPs, and producing analytic products
  • Conduct OPSEC and technical/forensic assessments
  • Perform data engineering, mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
  • Develop automation solutions and AI/ML tools to enhance mission outcomes
  • Integrate and manage diverse data sources using Python, R, and SQL
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations with Power BI or Tableau
  • Train personnel on tools, systems, and operational TTPs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
  • US Citizenship Required: Yes.
  • Education/Experience: Masters and 12 yrs relevant experience; Bachelors and 14 yrs relevant experience; Associates and 16 yrs of relevant experience; High School degree and 20 yrs of relevant experience. At least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Must possess Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Cisco-based Networking Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or security exploitation certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA).  DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) equivalent qualifications are acceptable.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level II Certification and 3 years of experience in programing language. Programming languages desired, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Java, Python, Perl.
  • Graduate of an in‑residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course (or military service equivalent).
  • Demonstrated CI, CT, or intelligence community experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in major data science languages (R, Python) and data integration (R/Python/SQL).
  • Experience with large‑scale Multi‑INT analytics, machine learning, and automated predictive analytics.
  • Skilled in data visualization tools including Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience conducting data mining, statistical modeling, and predictive analysis.
  • Strong understanding of foreign intelligence entities, CI processes, and U.S./foreign CI capabilities and TTPs.
  • Ability to design and support technical networks and operational systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD intelligence operations.
  • Knowledge of technical tradecraft, misattribution networks, and operational security practices.
  • Background in developing or assessing forensic technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality analytic and technical documentation.

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $175,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
