The Opportunity

This is more than a Learning & Development role.


We're looking for a passionate, strategic, and hands-on Learning & Development Manager to lead the evolution of technical training across North America. You will play a key role in building the capabilities of our service organization, helping field teams develop the skills needed to support cutting-edge food processing technologies.

What You'll Do
Lead Learning Strategy
  • Develop and execute a technical training strategy aligned with business objectives and our Next Gen vision
  • Identify skill gaps and create learning roadmaps that prepare employees for future success
  • Establish meaningful KPIs that measure learning effectiveness and business impact
  • Manage multiple training initiatives and projects across the organization

Build Innovative Learning Experiences
  • Design engaging learning programs including instructor-led training, e-learning, virtual learning, simulations, and blended solutions
  • Create structured learning paths that accelerate employee development and technical proficiency
  • Partner with subject matter experts to transform technical knowledge into impactful training experiences
  • Deliver training when needed and serve as a visible learning champion
Influence and Partner Across the Business
  • Collaborate with leaders, managers, product experts, and service teams to identify capability needs
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workforce development and performance improvement
  • Build strong partnerships with external training vendors and certification organizations

Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Leverage data, assessments, and learner feedback to enhance training effectiveness
  • Use learning systems and skills matrices to proactively identify future capability needs
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Education, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience leading technical training, workforce development, or learning enablement programs
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing and implementing learning programs and training strategies
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset with a passion for helping others grow

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Professional certifications in instructional design, training, project management, or similar fields
  • Experience supporting technical, engineering, manufacturing, or field service environments
  • Experience working with Field Service Technicians and technical service organizations

This is an onsite position based in:

  • Richmond, VA
  • Alpharetta, GA
  • Apex, NC

Travel up to 30% is required.
