The Team

You will be joining a small, dynamic team of full-stack developers who own the full lifecycle of their products, from design and implementation to release management and support. This team thrives on collaboration and knowledge sharing, constantly striving for excellence in delivering high-quality software.

The Role

Dubber is seeking a Tech Lead to join our team in Oxford, in a hybrid role. The Tech Lead will play a critical role in guiding the team through modern best practices in architecting and implementing new solutions and improvements to align your team's domain with global Dubber best practices. You will be highly involved in our cloud migration journey from data centers to AWS and participate in design reviews to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Your Impact

As a Tech Lead, you will:

• Lead Technical Initiatives: Champion the adoption of Kubernetes, containerization, and modern monitoring and alerting practices
• Cloud Migration: Actively participate in the migration of workloads to AWS, ensuring best practices and a smooth transition.
• Utilize AWS Managed Services: Leverage AWS managed services (e.g., RDS, ECS, S3, etc.) to streamline infrastructure management and enhance scalability, reliability, and security.
• Design & Architecture: Contribute to design reviews, ensuring the quality and scalability of our solutions.
• Operational Support: Be part of the on-call support roster, providing operational support for our platform, including system monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering management, service delivery, and key partners to align technical initiatives with business goals.

Your Essential Skills

• Proven experience in software engineering with a strong focus on C# and .NET technologies.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker, EKS).
• Strong experience in AWS services (such as EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Proficiency in utilizing AWS managed services for building and maintaining infrastructure.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. CircleCI, Jenkins etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Background in telephony or real-time communications.
• Experience in managing or mentoring a team.
