Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Joint Staff Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) team. In this role, you will define and enforce technical and engineering standards, establish system architecture, and ensure technical quality and process consistency across multiple agile delivery PODs supporting critical Department of Defense missions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set, communicate, and enforce technical and engineering standards across delivery PODs, ensuring consistency with streamlined processes and frameworks
- Define and evolve overarching system architecture, ensuring alignment with mission requirements, security standards, and enterprise objectives
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to cross-functional PODs, guiding solution design, technology selection, and engineering best practices
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, development frameworks, and reusable patterns to drive technical excellence and efficiency
- Review and validate technical outputs, ensuring solutions meet quality, performance, security, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with product managers, agile leads, and mission stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and DoD technical directives, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance technical capabilities and architecture
- Support technical risk assessment, mitigation planning, and resolution of complex technical challenges across PODs
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical leadership, systems engineering, or solution architecture roles
- Proven experience defining system architecture and establishing engineering standards for complex, mission-critical systems
- Strong track record of ensuring technical quality, process consistency, and successful delivery across multiple development teams or PODs
- Deep understanding of secure software development, data engineering, and systems integration within federal/DoD environments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills
