We're seeking a skilled Staff/Sr. Staff Technical Lead to join our growing engineering team!

You'll join a highly visible engineering team trusted to solve complex, high-stakes problems using the best of AI, data and software systems. In this role you will be responsible for shaping and architecting the next generation of Payer related solutions driven by a foundation that is based on AI and use of LLMs to solve payment integrity across claims processing. The ideal candidate has proven track record influencing cross-functional teams, building complex software systems through the full lifecycle, as well as proven technical leadership skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a product that sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, modeling, and real-world decision automation. As a cross-functional high impact role, you’ll influence foundational technical decisions and collaborate with a world-class engineering team solving meaningful and complex problems!

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale data mining solutions that handle real-time data as well as batch mode ingestion, modeling, and inference

• Shape long-term architectural direction, technology stack, and engineering best practices

• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability across application services

• Mentor and guide engineers across teams, fostering strong engineering culture and technical excellence

• Partner with peers in product management, operations and data science to translate ambiguous business requirements into actionable technical plans

• Enjoy designing and architecting complex frameworks for applying ML techniques to large data volumes and simplifying labor-intensive processes

• Recognize and prioritize between Customer deliverables & Tech debt to develop a sustainable software suite of products

What You Bring

• 10+ years of hands-on experience building complex distributed systems or large-scale backend platforms

• Ability to gain trust and influence to adopt a specific technical direction or architectural change without having direct managerial authority across stakeholders

• Strong working experience with Scala or Java (additional experience with python, Rust, or C# are a plus)

• Deep expertise with data-intensive systems or real-time processing pipelines.

• Proven ability to drive high-impact, green field and/or ambiguous projects

• Experience reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code, quickly contributing to it, and suggesting improvements.

• Working experience writing SQL queries

• Strong CS foundation (data structures, asynchronous programming)

• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

The salary for this position is based on an array of factors unique to each candidate: Such as years and depth of experience, set skills, certifications, etc.  We are hiring for different levels, and our Recruiting team will let you know if you qualify for a different role/range. Salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes meaningful equity, excellent healthcare, flexible time off, and other benefits and perks. 

Pay range: $225,000-250,000
