About the role:
We are seeking a Tech Lead to drive the migration from on-premise data warehouse to Snowflake. This role requires deep expertise in Snowflake, Python, and dbt, with a strong background in technical architecture, data warehousing, team leadership, and stakeholder management. You will lead the end-to-end migration strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and security while working closely with business and technical teams.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Lead the Migration: Architect and execute the transition of on-premise data warehouses to Snowflake in a structured, efficient manner.
- Technical Strategy: Define the roadmap, best practices, and standards for Snowflake migration and data modeling.
- Data Architecture & Warehousing: Design scalable Snowflake data solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Development & Transformation: Build and optimise data pipelines using Python and DBT for data transformation.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, driving best practices in coding, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business leaders, data analysts, and engineers to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Performance & Optimisation: Ensure efficient data processing, query performance tuning, and cost optimisation within Snowflake.
- Good experience in governance and security best practices in cloud environments.
You’ll be at an advantage if you also have:
- Background in banking or financial services
