Technical Lead - .NET, React, Azure + AI

 

We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Lead to join our remote team.

Job Overview:

The Technical Lead is a senior, hands-on engineer who both delivers software and raises the AI-driven development capability of their pod. Beyond writing code, this person coaches and enforces AI-first development practices across the team, partners closely with the workstream Product Owner to translate business needs into technical requirements and well-formed user stories, and guides the team on priorities. 

The role requires a strong, demonstrable grasp of agentic and modern AI principles, and is partially client-facing, so comfort and credibility in front of clients is essential. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-quality software as a hands-on senior developer within an AI pod.
• Coach and enforce AI-driven development processes across pod developers — set standards, review adoption, and uplift the team’s effective use of AI tooling, agents, and reusable skills.
• Partner with the workstream Product Owner to understand technical requirements, generate clear user stories with acceptance criteria, and guide the team on priorities and delivery sequencing.
• Apply agentic AI principles — agent and skill design, prompt engineering, tool/function orchestration — to accelerate delivery while keeping humans accountable for decisions and quality
• Serve as a technical point of contact in client-facing settings: demos, requirement discussions, and technical Q&A.
• Maintain engineering quality, architectural coherence, and delivery velocity as requirements evolve.
• Identify and clear blockers early, mentor developers, and model the AI-first operating model for the pod.
• Work with application developers, users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to understand current and future operational data analysis goals. Recommend modern technology stacks to meet those goals and help engineering teams migrate towards their use.
• Collaborate with the customer's operations and technology leadership on the future analytic goals of the organization, and design a technical solutions to meet those goals.
• Utilize analytical, process, and/or technical skills to meet project objectives and deliverables that are self-directed and within project scope.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on software development experience delivering production applications.
• Experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
• Familiarity with the platform stack (.NET, React / Next.js, Azure) and comparable enterprise technologies.
• Strong, demonstrable grasp of agentic AI and AI engineering principles — agents, reusable skills, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and orchestration.
• Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
• Proven experience coaching and mentoring developers and establishing engineering practices and standards.
• Experience partnering with Product Owners to shape technical requirements and author user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
• Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Comfort and credibility in client-facing settings — demos, requirement sessions, and technical discussions.
• Ability to guide priorities and sequencing across a delivery team as requirements change.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methods.
• Must be open to travel.

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience operating within an AI-first / AI-pod delivery model.
• Experience building reusable AI skills and agents and embedding them into delivery workflows.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $93,600 - $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
