Overview
The Technical Lead serves as the primary technical authority for client data delivery projects within IQVIA's Data as a Service (DaaS) platform. This role provides technical leadership, mentors Configurators, supports Project Managers, and ensures successful delivery of client solutions while acting as an escalation point for complex technical and production issues.
- Lead technical implementation activities for client data delivery solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to Configurators.
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and solution reviews.
- Design, implement, and support client data delivery processes and configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex database, infrastructure, connectivity, and integration issues.
- Serve as Tier 3 support for production incidents and escalations.
- Review project deliverables, validate adherence to DaaS standards, and ensure quality compliance.
- Coordinate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to resolve platform issues and influence future enhancements.
- Document best practices, share technical knowledge, and support continuous process improvement.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of SFTP and enterprise data delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of databases, data integration, and data delivery processes.
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, connectivity, and production issues.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- English proficiency at C1+ level.
- Experience with GCP.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical data and IQVIA datasets.
- Experience in client-facing consulting, technical delivery, or data engineering environments.
- Client-facing role with significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- High-volume delivery environment supporting multiple concurrent projects.
- EST business hours coverage required (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST).
- Occasional on-call or after-hours support for critical production issues.
A senior data engineering or technical delivery professional with deep expertise in cloud data platforms, strong troubleshooting capabilities, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor technical teams while driving successful client outcomes.
