Technical Implementation Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Implementation Engineer to join our team. This role will be based in the Central or Eastern time zones and will be responsible for leading implementation activities to ensure the successful implementation of our suite of products. The Technical Implementation Engineer will work closely with our customers in the medical-surgical markets to evaluate their needs, establish efficient workflows, perform customer onboarding processes, and provide comprehensive training. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving process improvements for our customers' supply chain procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Implementations: Travel to customer sites or conduct remote sessions to implement our solutions. Provide training to all stakeholders involved in the new solution.
- Travel, Communication, and Task Management: Manage travel logistics, including booking travel and submitting expense reports. Utilize Salesforce.com to track and communicate implementation progress to internal stakeholders such as Helpdesk, Admin Team, Sales Reps, Technology Consultants, and Development Team.
- Retraining, Change Management, and Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage risks and take necessary actions to ensure a positive customer experience. Help manage changes that may impact the customer experience, such as personnel changes, and provide retraining as needed using tools like Microsoft Teams.
- Planning and Onboarding Procedures: Host Kickoff Calls to establish workflows with customers, including requesting labels and hardware from the Tech Admin Team. Perform data entry and setup in the solution. Host Pre-Implementation Calls to verify the established workflow and ensure customer readiness for Go Live.
- Monitoring and Project Closeout: Monitor account activity for the first 45 days post-implementation to ensure correct utilization of the software. Take appropriate actions and be prepared for any necessary changes. Follow up and close out with customers, transitioning them to the Helpdesk for ongoing support.
- Work remotely and independently.
- Travel up to 25% of the time to customer locations.
- Work in a standard office environment, including leading conference calls and webcast presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills:
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills, with a strong focus on service.
- Strong training and presentation skills, both in-person and through remote sales tools like webcasts and conference calls.
- Ability to effectively communicate technology integration offerings.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain practices.
- Results-oriented, self-directed, and motivated.
- Ability to assess situations and overcome objections.
- Ability to work well with team members.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills with acute attention to detail.
- Thorough in completing and documenting tasks.
- Ability to work under multiple deadlines and handle several implementations simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Organized approach to work assignments and adaptable to changing priorities.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare technology implementation or a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Primary Care and Post Acute Care market customers and other healthcare providers.
- Basic understanding of supply chain management principles and project management skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education:
Degree or equivalent, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel for up to 6 hours per day during physical inventory onsite with customers.
- Ability to stand for at least eight hours per day when conducting onsite customer training.
- Otherwise, standard office setting requirements.
