The Boeing Company is seeking a Technical Illustrator (Associate or Experienced) to support Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) programs in Seal Beach, California!
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced level specialists.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizes, creates and designs complex isometric, orthographic, axonometric, and perspective illustrations, wiring diagrams, and schematics for technical data products.
- Conducts research and interprets engineering data, design changes and other data sources to incorporate into technical data products.
- Integrates text and graphics.
- Collaborates with internal customers to provide guidance on compliance with industry standards, ensuring that company products meet applicable requirements, while also reviewing illustration products at various stages of completion.
- Researches existing illustrations to create or revise technical data products.
- Finds opportunities for improvement to the illustration file management system.
- Adds metadata information to files to enable efficient research of stored illustrations.
- Applies regulatory or organizational standards and specifications to produce illustrations for technical publications.
- Participates on internal departmental teams to guide, develop or revise existing standards, processes and procedures.
- Provides input on processes and procedures required for development of technical illustrations.
- Participates in the investigation of emerging technologies and contributes to the development of new illustration tools, techniques and processes.
- Assembles technical data products for final delivery.
Work Authorization Statement:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Seal Beach, CA location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2 or more years of experience developing technical illustrations.
- 2 or more years of experience interpreting engineering data to develop technical illustrations.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Associate Degree or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with illustration tools such as, IsoDraw, CATIA and AutoCad.
- Experience interpreting 2D engineering drawings or model-based engineering to develop technical illustrations.

Summary Pay Range:
- Associate (Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050
- Experienced (Level 3): $113,050 - $152,950
